Hey RepairShoprs,

We’ve been working hard to bash bugs and bring you some solid feature improvements. As usual, our bigger releases can be found on our blog.

Below we’ve outlined the smaller feature improvements and several bug fixes we released over the last couple of months. Enjoy!

Feature improvements and updates:

Marketr: Marketr will now only send to Customers with a valid Invoice within the last 13 months. We also added some information on Marketr best practices to the Knowledge Base article here.

Customer Portal: We added a new setting within Portal User Permissions to show all/filter Ticket statuses.

Refunds: We now auto-fill the reference number of a related payment when processing a Refund.

API: The API Invoices section now supports “date” and “customer_id” filters.

SMS: We now hide the SMS option if there is no mobile phone number present on the Customer profile.

Tickets: The bulk delete button within the Tickets module now says “Delete Selected” instead of “Delete All” to be more clear about what is being deleted.

Leads: We added two new Leads options – “Mark as Spam” and “Delete” – to the /convert page.

Leads: The “Select All” checkbox within the Leads table now shows the “Bulk Options” button.

Reports: You can now filter by Customer on the Pending Ticket Charges Report!

Reports: We’ve made the Invoice numbers clickable on the Reconciliation Report!

Reports: For clarity purposes, we renamed the “Customers” drop-down within Reports to be “Saved Customer Search.”

New Locale: RepairShopr is now available in Bulgaria!

Bug Fixes:

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the notification rule for New Contact was not working correctly.

Bug fix: We fixed an error with Big Chain accounts where template tags wouldn’t update in a Purchase Order template to include location tags.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where Appointment Reminders were going out at the wrong time or duplicating.

Bug fix: Now Sunday Appointments show properly in the Calendar!

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where users were unable to select the date field in a Customer Contact.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the Customer Detail Google Maps link didn’t include a ZIP code.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the address lookup wasn’t populating all of the appropriate address fields.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the system would only send an email to the Invoice CC contact if the “default” Customer was selected.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where some users were not receiving the “Potentially already-picked-up Tickets still open” emails.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the “Email to Vendor” button on Purchase Orders was using the RepairShopr account email address instead of the Ticket Reply email address.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where it was not possible to delete the last email domain listed in your account. You can now delete all domains, save your changes, and they will be correctly cleared.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where filters for large CSV Inventory exports would only show “in stock” rather than “all.”

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where users couldn’t delete Customer phone numbers by deleting data from imported CSV files. This should now work properly!

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where users were unable to map to custom fields drop-down menus while using Zapier.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the Logistics edit page was not formatted properly, causing “Change History” and “Product Add” areas to be hard to read on the page.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where taking a payment via PayPal without a reference number was preventing syncing with WooCommerce.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where newly created users were not available to select from in CloudBerry Recurring Invoices.

Bug fix: Deleting a Purchase Order will now properly release Product instances rather than showing them as still on order.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue within Stock Takes where a non-updated variance was counted as a loss on the final report.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where a user’s name was not automatically attached to the Invoice line item when they would create a Part Order.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where an Invoice with bundled line items containing more than 1 serialed quantity would still be able to be paid even with only one serial number selected.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where Part Orders were detaching from the original Ticket if the Ticket was resolved and were also unable to be reattached.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where bundled items weren’t showing up within a Ticket Details page when added to a separate Invoice from the Ticket Charges.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where not all serial numbers show up in the “select serial numbers” interface. Search also works for all serial numbers now!

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where Recurring Invoices were not respecting the Contract override price if the setting “Keep prices in sync with products if they change” was enabled.

Bug fix: Now Invoices marked as paid from split payments can still be edited (i.e. name change, change payment date, etc.).

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where certain users were not able to read inbound SMS message within the Leads module.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where currencies in India were not showing up properly in the POS.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the payment process still continued even if the signature was not completed.

Bug fix: We added a setting where users can specify whether they require the Customer to sign-in in order to take a payment.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the “Pay Now” button next to Invoices within the Customer Portal was not showing up in certain instances.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the Customer Portal Ticket “Status Is” filter was not accessible via mobile web browsers.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the Tech Hours Report was showing incorrect Labor Log entry dates for the custom date range chosen.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where incorrect dates were being used in the Product Sales Report.

Bug fix: We fixed an error where toggling a default Ticket Saved Search to “all” would still search within only the saved search, even after refreshing the page.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where Customer search was not showing all results.

Bug fix: We fixed an error where toggling a default Ticket Saved Search to “all” would still search within only the saved search even after refreshing the page.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the “{{invoice_line_items_table_no_tax}}” tag was not removing tax lines from the line item table in templates.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the Ticket table “Contract” column was showing Tickets assigned to Contracts that didn’t actually have a Contract attached.

Bug fix: Ticket Worksheet Progress percentages will now properly update if you remove steps from the worksheet.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where, when using the custom fields for Intake/Outtake form disclaimers, both the Intake and Outtake forms were showing the Intake form disclaimer only.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where two Ticket Worksheet change history entries would appear for every one change made in a Ticket Worksheet.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue where the public Ticket dashboard link was not loading Tickets, despite the default Ticket dashboard doing so.

Bug fix: We fixed an issue within Ticket receipts where the phone number wasn’t showing on the receipt unless the “Include customer email” setting was enabled.

Other updates:

Bug Fix: P&L reports will no longer error when you have many Invoices and request a long timeframe for the report.

Bug Fix: “SMS” and “Email+SMS” will now only be available as an option on Ticket Comments if the Ticket’s Customer has a phone number saved.

Hey RepairShoprs,

Here’s a summary of some bigger Quality of Life updates and feature enhancements we’ve recently built and shared with you:

Customer Portal: You can now
disable the ability for your Customers to pay Invoices
from the Customer Portal!

Estimates/Invoices: You can now
give your Estimates and Invoices a specific name of your choosing
.

SMS: You can now
send SMS messages to your Customers that are longer than 140 characters
! Simply type your message into one Ticket Communication and the RepairShopr system will automatically parse and send the message in a breakdown of multiple messages if it is longer than the standard 140 character mobile message limit.

Tickets: You can now have
Tickets automatically split
if a Customer replies to an older Ticket stating a new issue they’re experiencing.

Ticket Timers: We now allow you to
view all currently running Ticket Timers from a single page
. Just click on the active timers drop-down at the very top of your RepairShopr account and click the “All Timers” button to be taken to the page!

Ticket Automations: You can now
use “Send SMS” as a Ticket Automation action
! This works very similarly to the “Send Email” action type, just be sure to keep an eye on your SMS credits so as to not run out!

Ticket Dashboard: You can now generate “shareable” URLs to plug into your browser that do not require you to be logged into your RepairShopr account to access the Ticket Dashboard view. Learn more
here
.

Invoices: You can now have Product prices automatically update in Recurring Invoice templates if you change the price of a Product in your Inventory.

Xero: We created a thorough video walkthrough of how to set up the Xero accounting integration with your RepairShopr account.

Here’s a summary of some smaller updates and bug fixes we’ve made over the last few weeks:

Invoices: If you set a Recurring Invoice to run today, but it’s after the scheduled kickoff time of 6:00 am, we now give you the option to “Run Now.”

App Center: In the App Center, sensitive information such as API keys are no longer displayed in plain-text for added security.

Tickets: Now if you get an email with a CC to your Leads, when you later turn that into a Ticket we’ll copy the CC email addresses to that Ticket for you!

Customers: Communication Logs for a Customer are now links!

Customers: You can now view the icons you set in a Customer Custom Field on the Customer List page itself.

Customer Portal: If your Customers pay via the Customer Portal, they’ll now see your account log on the Invoice Payment screen (i.e. you don’t have to add it to the screen, it just shows up in the portal payment flow)!

Subscriptions: We added a confirmation page when switching between RepairShopr plans.

Bug Fixes: We fixed a whole lotta bugs (
outlined in this post
) in addition to the ones below!

Bug Fix: Fixed a small user interface bug on the schedules list.

Bug Fix: We fixed a bug with editing Ticket Automations.

Bug Fix: Editing a Contract will no longer reset the “win” likelihood to the 50% default, but will instead preserve the last number used.

Bug Fix: Fixed a bug where only admins could bulk select Assets on the Assets index page.

We hope you enjoy these user-requested updates and bug fixes. Until next time!

here.

Tickets: You can now customize which columns appear in the Tickets table, as well as the order in which they appear. We also released a new option that allows you to see the time worked on Tickets. Find out more
here.

Tickets: On the Ticket page, if a Contact has no phone number, we’ll now display the Customer’s phone number so you can get in touch quickly.

Invoices: Invoices now show when they are partially paid and how much is remaining on the Invoice.

Invoices: Overdue Invoices will now show how many days they are overdue by.

Customers: We moved Customer Custom Fields to the right side of the Customer Details page, and made this section collapsible (like the other sections on this page) so they are easier to find/use.

Customers: We improved the page load speed for Customers.

Security Groups: We added a new permission for “Assets Edit” and migrated all Security Groups with “Assets Show” to allow that permission (because those Security Groups effectively already had that permission, but we’re splitting the permission now).

Email: When an email comes into the Leads module, we now first check the email rules set up on the account, and then match the incoming email address to a Customer or Contact if there are no applicable email rules set up.

Assets: Now, when checking in a new Asset using the device repair widget, the address field will attempt to auto-populate!

POS: Rather than timing out when closing a register that has been open for a long time, we now display an informative message stating that we are generating your report.

Bug Fixes: We crushed a ton of bugs and
created this post

Bug Fix: Links on iOS devices now always only require one click, hurray!

Bug Fix: We’ve improved the performance on the Pending Orders page.

Bug Fix: The Computer Reports page no longer shows HTML styling as text.

a variety of small updates
to the Tickets module…

Email address now attaches to Customer replies on Tickets, so you know who is responding to a Ticket Communication.

We’ve updated the “Additional CCs” field within the “Ticket Info” section of a Ticket to auto-populate email addresses as you begin typing them into the field.

A warning prompt will now appear when attempting to create a new Invoice from a Ticket that already has an open, unpaid Invoice attached to it. You can disable this in the Admin > Ticket Preferences > Advanced section of your account.

Contracts:

You now have the ability to clone Contracts! This makes it easy to build a Contract template, and then clone it to use for other Customers if you use a similar Contract more than once.

You can now blacklist Products on Contracts to prevent users from adding certain products to ticket charges for the Contract Customer. This is especially helpful if a Customer is only billed a particular labor rate, as you can blacklist all labor rates besides what you want to use for the Customer.

Assets: The Assets table is now customizable! You can configure which custom fields you want to display, and in which order. Learn more here.

New UI: We’ve updated the name of the Beta UI to be “New UI” in the navigation.

Contacts: We added title and phone extensions to Contacts.

Tickets: We added a realtime notification if the Ticket you’re looking at has been updated.

Estimates & Invoices: Adding a manual line item is now a much nicer experience.

Asset: We’ve retitled the “Location” field throughout the app to be “Site” in order to maintain consistency.

Customer Portal: Ticket attachments uploaded through the Customer Portal now default to public

Reports: We added location info to the Referral Report for Big Chain users.

Purchase Order: Clicking a delivery tracking link in a purchase order will now take you directly to the link.

New Locale: Lithuania, welcome

Bug Fix: The “i” to review latest Ticket comment is back!

Bug Fix: The link to view Appointments is back (New UI only).

Bug Fix: We fixed an odd case where Contact phone numbers appeared to be unable to be cleared on the edit page (New UI only).

Bug Fix: Worksheet editing with many Worksheet fields already present now works properly.

Bug Fix: The “All” filter now works on the Tickets page, even if you have a default filter set.
